The September  featured poet is Teesha Thomas.   From youth to teens, as well as seniors and in-betweens, all are whole-heartedly welcomed at this free community-based arts event!
	Join gallery owner Kevin Hicks and Poet-in-Residence, Sistah Joy at Annie's Art Gallery as they invite the community in for an evening of the arts.  This is the gallery's Family-Friendly Poetry Open Mic Night, a free Open Mic event that takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. For persons interested in positive lyrics, uplifting experience and the opportunity to share their writings on an open mic in a supportive, encouraging setting, Annie's Art Gallery is the place to be!  Featured artists often have books and CDs available for purchase. Pass the word to teens in your family and community that Annie's is the "the spot" to be heard and to hear uplifting lyrics and postive poetry. So bring a poem or 2 and a friend or 2 (or 3 or 4...) to join and be part of this powerful and fun Open Mic event, (poetry, music, art and more!) at Annie's Art Gallery (www.anniesartgallery.net) where we celebrate poetry, art and all forms of positive  expression with members the community (...that's you!) ALL YEAR LONG.
