Christmasville is the story of Mary Jane Higgins who lives in the town of Christmasville and suspects that there is more to Christmasville than what meets the eye. What the reader discovers in the beginning of the novel is that Mary Jane, as well as the town in which she resides, is situated on a 4 x 8 model train platform. Throughout the remaining eleven chapters, Mary Jane attempts to resolve the enigma of Christmasville, culminating in what is typically regarded as a surprise ending.
Finding Christmasville, the second book in the trilogy, reveals the discoveries and experiences of Madeleine and Esmeralda (and Mary Jane, of course), characters who were introduced in the first novel. While Esmeralda seeks answers regarding the whereabouts of her family, and the purpose of the clock tower, Madeleine's quest is of paramount significance. If Mary Jane's journey in the first novel of the Christmasville Trilogy was guided by faith and the embracement of truth, Madeleine's is motivated by hope and the promise of salvation.
