Deborah Raney''s novella was a nominee for the 2004 Christy Award along with novels by Hannah Alexander and Susan May Warren.

The Christy Awards--named for the late Catherine Marshall's bestselling novel, Christy, and honoring exceptional Christian fiction--were presented at a gala banquet on June 30, 2004. Deborah Raney's novella was chosen as one of three nominees in the Romance category. Hideaway by Hannah Alexander (husband/wife writing team Dr. Melvin and Cheryl Hodde) was chosen as the winner. Finalists Raney and Susan May Warren were presented with Christy medallions.
