The Justin Texan
LOCAL RESIDENT RELEASES S*T*A*R
Paul C. Kerr, who lives just north of Justin, has published his first book, S*T*A*R, Surveillance of Terrorist Actions and Retaliation, on sale now in book stores around the world. He began his writing career in 1993, after researching terrorist activity from around the world.
He didn’t realize at the time that he would be writing a book. His research was to delve into why certain individuals would commit such barbarous actions on innocent people. Since completing S*T*A*R, Mr. Kerr has started to pen other books, including sequels to S*T*A*R.
Since his high school journalism class, Paul C. Kerr has always wanted to write. The local newspaper in the small town where he lived had a deal with the journalism students that allowed them to write the sports stories for the high school games. Paul’s writing career began.
“As I grew older, I wrote the sports op ed’s for the Tulsa World, a newspaper in Tulsa, Oklahoma,” Paul commented. He also took courses in ‘Lithography’, which deals with ‘cutting and pasting’ articles for newspapers. After a while, however, Paul took to the road and travels around the country for a several years.
He hitch hiked from city to city, working odd jobs for a few months, then moved on. During those travels he met many people who were affected by terrorism. These people were the inspiration for his book. While traveling Paul worked many jobs from cook to the security industry, which has been in for the past nineteen years now.
His profession has afforded him extensive training and experience in various areas of the security and law enforcement industry including spotting possible terrorist activity and threats. Over the years he has kept a journal of his travels, the people and places he’s been. Once he had researched terrorist activity he incorporated his journal into his writing.
He researched and wrote from 1993 to 1997. Nine years later he had the opportunity to have it published. It’s been a long road and Paul sincerely hopes that you enjoy the book as much as he enjoyed writing it. You can find S*T*A*R at www.dealoz.com.
