Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts enjoyed the Medieval Times Writing Workshop presented by author Cheryl Carpinello and earned their writing badges.

Sixty-seven girls gathered for the Girl Scouts Writing Workshop and Meet the Author Cheryl Carpinello event in Denver Co, on Oct. 17, 2009.

Many of the girls came dressed as Medieval Princesses and enjoyed the writing activities as well as the chocolate exploding frogs!

Brownies learned what it would be like to live in Medieval Times, wrote their own princess stories, learned to write in Runes, and celebrated themselves using an Illumination, a Medieval communication.

Juniors learned to write 3 types of poetry, to write in Runes, how to write a How-To, and outlined their own Medieval story.

Both groups played the Medieval games of Quoits, Queek, and Hopscotch!

All girls received a certificate of completion and an autographed copy of Guinevere: On the Eve of Legend.
