Playwright wins Double Whammie!

Drama

The Turner Award/Alice Childress Script Writing Award goes to Ginny Foster of Portland for her script "Falling Star."
Also the Elizabeth McPherson Award for Women Writers 2002 goes to Ginny Foster to complete her play, "The Stutter Orphans."

Ginny Foster lives in Portland, Oregon and has been writing for many years. A well-known writer of the Northwest, she started out in poetry and now is almost exclusively a playwright. I met Ginny at an Elderhostel at the Ascension Monastery in Idaho, where the ambience is conducive to creativity. Ginny is a vivacious, wise woman who reaches out.
