FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Poetry collection aims to raise awareness and fight abuse against women
…And Yet You Continue to Provoke the Night by Shawn Ness is a collection of poems that remembers two victims of murder and reflects on the violence in the world
FOND DU LAC, Wis. –…And Yet You Continue to Provoke the Night by Shawn Ness commemorates the tragic deaths of two innocent people with poetry.
After reading in the newspaper about the senseless murder of two local residents, author Ness found himself deeply affected and decided to write a book of poetry that would raise awareness of the problem of domestic abuse, and whose proceeds he plans to donate to Take Back the Night, an organization which fights abuse against women. The resulting book, …And Yet You Continue to Provoke the Night, offers a selection of poems that examines the depths of human emotions, encourages reflection and supports healing.
In …And Yet You Continue to Provoke the Night, Ness seeks to investigate the internal struggles, absolute joy and the dark pain of tragedy when it feels like nothing will ever be the same. In each poem, he attempts to map out the shockwaves and the euphoria that weave through every life. While targeted towards women, Ness’ collection also aims to inspire, soothe and encourage every reader to work against violence.
…And Yet You Continue to Provoke the Night is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
