“I’ve been a part of this organization for 8 years”, stated Frazier who is a painter, sculptor and collagists and whose career spans over 50 years. He is a self-taught artist and attributes his talent as a blessing from the Creator. He began his work as a fine artist early, at the age of seven in Harlem, NYC.
“CAAPA is doing a wonderful thing for the musical community and I always look forward to hearing the classical music”, Frazier continued. African American classical musicians are an integral part of the pre-caucus event as CAAPA celebrates its 10th Anniversary. Other anniversary events include a “Gershwin and Grits Brunch”, “Rossini on the Rooftop Reception” and “Paintings, Poetry Puccini and Pasta”. Kicking off the CAAPA celebrations, the “Melody of Art” annual reception features jazz music, poetry, classical music and art, with opportunities to network with national and local politicians and business leaders and much more.
