Event During Congressional Black Caucus Focuses on Creative Expression

Annual eve of the Congressional Black Caucus "Melody of Art" event is an opportunity to enjoy music, art, networking, and good food.

Hosted by the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts

Location: Bobby McKey’s on the National Harbor

Location Address: 172 Fleet Street, National Harbor, Maryland

Time & Date: 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Attire: Business Casual

This year, the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts (CAAPA) recognizes the 40th Annual Legislative Conference with its annual Reception & Fundraiser and invites you to support African American Classical Musicians, Visual Artists and Poets at a showcase entitled “Melody of Art”.  Engage in recognizing the President’s agenda of appreciating the arts, role and value of creative expression by supporting the CAAPA cause of providing African American youth with resources, finances, performance opportunities and scholarships, by attending a culturally uplifting free event including jazz music, poetry, classical music, and art, with opportunities to network with national and local politicians and business leaders, food and much more.  Cash bar featuring CAAPA's signature drink, the "Operatini".
