(DC, VA, MD) Eyes glistened, cheeks glowed, and smiles were as broad as Cheshire cats, when grandmother Celia Ford age 75, daughter Theresa Allen 50, and granddaughter Pamela Simonson 25 heard the announcement that their new book, Pearls of Wisdom From Three Generations, was selected as the featured Book-of-the-Month by Washington, DC’s popular Christian radio station Heaven 1580am. Book Bytes, a new segment, hosted by on-air-personality and producer, Marsha Sumner, featured the best seller in January 2004, where all month listeners heard excerpts, highlights about the book, and details regarding the authors. The month culminated in an on-air interview with the trio.

“I keep this book with me everywhere I go now,” stated Sumner, who featured the popular best seller on her new Book Bytes segment during the long-running Celestial Break program which airs 12:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. “I read their uplifting words of wisdom every day”, she concluded.

Exactly twenty-five years apart, one motivating reason why they wrote the book, Ford, Allen, and Simonson include inspirational sayings, quotations, proverbs, and prayers in the new collection. They are often invited to speak at Churches, Retreats, Mother Daughter Breakfasts, Women’s events, museums, workshops, conventions, and organizational seminars. They hope the expressions in their book inspire women in the same way they themselves have been inspired by generations before them.

Pearls of Wisdom from Three Generations published by Thelemaque Publishing hit bookstores September 2003 and the ladies have been in a whirlwind of speaking engagements and book signings ever since. With their collective teaching backgrounds, the Depression Child, Baby Boomer, and Generation X'er offer words of wisdom and hope to stabilize famous expressions with their own inspiring and motivating words.
