This month I visited the students at Be The Change Academy. It was so much fun to read Tuma, as well as to show and tell the real stone and its story! I was surprised by the interest a couple of older kids showed to the story and the stone. They even asked great questions!
I can't think of any other story to be the first title released by I Have Something To Say Press. Tuma is not just a lesson sharing story about nature and culture. It is actually my way of coming full circle as I honor the people and culture that I grew up with in Maracaibo - Venezuela. I know kids and parents alike will fall in love with Tuma and her friends, as I did with my Goajiran (gooaheeran) family.
