Every since I''ve been on the den some have accused my verse as sounding like rap. A few have even let me know that they hate rap. My response to them is, who really cares, so what I don''t like some country or opera music. We all have a right to our likes and dislikes.
So be it, life goes on and so have I. |
After being accused so much I decided to give rap a shot, so now I'm rapping out my verse as well as writing it on Youtube. There's a thin line between poets, writers, singers, rappers and musicians. A good singer can't sing a song unless they write the verse or find someone to do it for them, neither can a good rapper. Basically, writers and poets are the starting point. James Brown versed out, "Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud." He was not only a good singer, but also a great poet. From here on out I will be known as "Onepoetgem the Poetic Rapper." I'm not really a singer, musician or a rapper, just a poet delivering my verse in another direction, at my own descretion, the heck with perfection. opg
