The range of topics covered in this eBook is super impressive. Literally, whatever you want to know about makeup is contained in this book.
Cassandra explains everything in very simple English, which I most definitely appreciate. I read some of Napoleon Perdis’ advice and I can’t understand half of it. He uses phrases like ‘top third triangle of the eye area’ which, for a makeup dummy like me, is impossible to understand. Cassandra gives great explanations that are easy to understand and apply.
One of my favourite parts of the book is the shading and contouring. I have such a classic moon face that it’s near impossible to disguise. The shading tips offered by Cassandra work superbly to give me definition where I need it. I actually have shape in my face now!
This is a great book for those of us who have no idea but want to learn. You could be like me, in your thirties and with no clues. Or you could be a teenager who is just starting out with makeup. This is a fab resource for those who want to learn technical skills but don’t know where to start.
If you’re an experienced makeup artist or practitioner, then alot of what is in this book will already be known to you. But I can promise, there are little tips and hints here you will not have heard of before.
