Breaking Free is a bi-monthly Australian newsletter of Adults Surviving Child Abuse.It details information to health care professionals who are skilled in providing services to adult survivors of childhood trauma.I submitted 'My Story' that was a 700 word synopsis of my autobiography Gaining a Sense of Self. It was published in the April 2012 issue. The editor provided the subtitle "a difficult early life" and a photo of a little girl's sandshoes lying on a patch of grass. It is successful in giving the sense of a child's abandonment. More than two million adult Australians are personally affected by childhood abuse.
