I didn't write a sex book. That statement hardly seems like a news flash, but I feel obligated to say it anyway.
The title of my book is, No More Secs! While investigating backlinks to my website recently, I discovered quite a few Russian-language websites referencing the book. These sites appear to be related to sex.
Now I don't understand a word of Russian, but I think it's safe to assume that if English is not your native language, secs could easily be mistaken for sex. That, plus a sexy leg shot on the cover probably gives some people the wrong idea. Oops. Sorry, guys. Perhaps they think it's a book about sex, but now that I think about it, "No More Sex!" doesn't sound particularly sexy, so I'm not sure what they expect...
By the way, the full title of my book is, No More Secs! Living, Laughing & Loving Despite Multiple Sclerosis, and there's a cane next to those high heels.
Oh, and if I did write a book about sex, I certainly wouldn't title it, "No More Sex!" ;-)
What readers are saying about No More Secs!
"It was a delightful read…Hope you will continue to write, but please don't feel it necessary to develop any new illnesses to have a topic. You could write about grass growing and make it a good read…Thank you for letting me shed a few tears and smiling in between."
"I feel like I am sometimes reading my own thoughts while reading your book. I was just diagnosed with MS about 3 weeks ago. Thank you for having a voice."
"I live in South Africa. I have just finished reading your book "No More Secs! Living, Laughing & Loving Despite Multiple Sclerosis." WOW! I just could not believe that there is actually someone out there who KNOWS how it feels to have this dreadful MS! I wish that I could have read this book back when I was dx - it would most definitely have made a huge difference in my life! All I can say is: Thank you for sharing! I wish that all my friends and family could read this book, so that they can see that I'm not "faking." To me it's a very "lonely" disease, for most of family members and friends just don't get it. So from the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU!"
"The book should be read by all medical professionals and patients dealing with life changing medical conditions. I was very moved
by her book and have encouraged all of my co-workers to read it."
"Your book is great! My Kindle version is full of highlights and notes, as so much of it resonates deeply."
"What a nice book. I laughed, I cried, I connected to you in a way I've connected with no one else. It was so nice to know I'm not alone."
“It is a lovely love story, well written, full of information too.”
“I found myself able to relate even though we have completely different disorders. The questions you ask of yourself and your abilities are similar to those I have asked myself.”
“Here’s to those of us who just keep on keepin’ on, whatever the circumstances!”
