The Paranormal Review, the magazine of the Society for Psychical Research, published Lyn Halper's article in its July 2001 edition, "Observation of Events Produced by Joseph Nuzum on 12th December 1999." Halper and two colleagues flew to Washington, Pennsylvania to witness Joey Nuzum demonstrate mind-boggling feats of psychokinesis in a private meeting at his home. Joey, considered by some researchers to be our greatest living psychic, will occasionlly demonstrate his "miracles" to a select audience. Researchers who know his work contend he is able to transcend the physical laws of the universe as we understand them. Among his documented abilities are stopping the flow of water from an over-turned glass, moving a candle flame with his hands, stopping a toy electric train with his concentration and re-starting it, causing a phone to ring off the hook...the list goes on and on.
In Pennsylvania, Halper watched Joe attempt to psychically move a small obelisk without success, but a pair of dice on a nearby table, jumped and turned over. Halper describes the visit with Joey in detail in her book, "Adventures of a Suburban Mystic." Her book of interviews with mystics and psychics will be released this summer.
