"Prohibiting fear was laid out so that I might not take the high-cliff jumps of this life. Varied are the reasons for this transmitted fear. Be that as it may, culture cobbled the shoes so fitting for cold feet in this life of mine. Culture continues to be the mitigating fear factor feeding a voracious appetite of worry within me. Settling for safe was secreted in my mind from a very young age. Do this, but don't do that are but mere layers of fear laid out to pistol whip us all into a uniform line. Get out of line and you'll get a crack of the feared whip. This cultured whip proved very formidable for me to overcome. And, it has taken some tough sledding to shake off this culture of safe. Nonetheless, for many years, that is exactly how I lived. Comparisons shot full of fright, such as it were. Judged by all, I have been. Albeit, with myself being the harshest judge and the most prominent shame slinger of all." (excerpt Whiskey In The River)
