If you have a WAP-enabled mobile phone with a large colour screen, 100 x 140 approx, portrait format - then you can now look at supplementary pages for Poetry Life & Times. Here is the link to copy into your phone's browser (the page will not look like much on your PC):
poetrylifeandtimes.com/pltmobile/index.htm
...Usually you do not need to type "http://www" in front.
These new mobile phone web pages are intended as a supplement. They will occasionally feature interviews from the main issue, plus a variety of poems and editorial.
Readers can also download free classical midi music (polyphonic) ringtones plus some composed by Sara Russell, including the theme for her Spiders and Gliders sci fi e-book, which is based on her rock song called "The Dream Eater". More ringtones will be added, plus a link to an site offering free pop ringtones.
Free wallpapers are also available... these are taken from Sara's The Perils of Norris (The Virtual Bard) cartoon, plus a couple which show the two main website logos. They have been adapted based on the Motorola V500's ideal wallpaper resolution, and are usually around 35KB in size. Users of other similar picture phones may contact me with requests for different resolutions or picture shapes.
Poets wishing to have work included on the main poetry page will need to submit short poems with short line lengths. Long line lengths will wrap to extra lines, which the poet may not wish for their poems. At the moment it is just one poem per poet, and pages will not be updated as often as the main website, which is a monthly ezine.
This is a free service from Poetry Life & Times for poets to explore, when away from their computers. The pages have been designed to load quickly and easily. More poetry and fun things will be added soon.....enjoy! :)
