Stricken by a genetic eye disease, she is forced to return to the family who emotionally abandoned her years before. Mara is all grown up this time, and she time she isn’t going home alone. God is by her side, and He doesn’t intend for her to endure the tense reunion alone. This character-driven novel will keep you wanting more as you wade into the Bitter Water.
Bitter Water is the first book in a three book series. The second book "Marisol" will revisit the characters in the first novel, and introduce Marisol "Sunni" Martin. Sunni is a working mom of 6 year old Lynnie, holding down the home front while her husband Sam is busy in Afghanistan looking for Bin Laden. She has extra problems when an admirer of her newspaper column, suddenly turns stalker! "Marisol" release date early 2007.
Smith previously published a poetry and personal book named "Simply From My Heart" She is active in playing 8-ball and 9-ball pool, has five children and enjoys her 13 grandchildren.
She has one wonderful husband and two dogs, Boots and Lady. Her hobbies include reading, writing, and spoiling the grandkids.
