Publishing Company Partners With Author to Raise Awareness To Road Rage
(Cocoa, Florida) Road Rage has become a serious threat on our highways; honking a horn, going too slow, yelling back or flipping off another driver could cause you harm or, worse, cost you your life.
Changing Lives Changing the World, Inc. partners with author Blondie L. Clayton to raise awareness of road rage through her new book release: Single Woman on the Highway.
“Women on the highway alone are targets and need to know what happens if they engage the aggressor and how to avoid the tragedies of such encounters. The best way is to ignore,” according to the experts.
According to Yvonne Hadley, “My niece left home six years ago and never came back. She was the victim of road rage. Our family was devastated. She left behind a daughter to be raised by my sister and her husband.”
Inspired by her sister-in-law Blondie L. Clayton created a guide to empower women drivers with information to operate their cars from purchase to maintenance, to repair, to emergencies. In the process of completing the book, she heard the tragic story of Yvonne Hadley’s niece and decided to use her book as a billboard to raise awareness to road rage and the rest is history.
“What struck me about hearing this story, the young man fled the scene, pled no contest, received 6 months in jail, 100 hours of community service, referred to anger management and a drug abuse program. He got his life back on track but the life he took will be no more,” stated Blondie Clayton, “his penalty seemed unfair.”
A spokesperson for Changing Lives Changing the World, Inc., Publishing Division had this to say, “We are proud to be a part of this life saving campaign to bring awareness to senseless acts of violence on the highway.
A portion of the proceeds from the book sales will be donated to R.O.A.R.R, a 501 C-3 organization to carry out their mission.
