Hi there...
I'm pleased -- no, I'm happy! -- to announce the publication of my novel "The Any Agency: Wild Violets" right now.
The official publication date is April 11, 2008, and the book has been available for ordering from the publisher -- Infinity -- ever since. You may do so by calling 1-877-289=2665 or by visiting the bbotw.com site..the link is at my den.
Why do I announce this today?
I just found the AD ad/link to amazon.com for the book...but there it isn't 'available' yet, nor is there a blurb posted...still, I was amazed.
One ADer asked me what Wild Violets was all about...at first glance it is a detective story, hence a mystery of sorts. At a closer look, however, it isn't really a whodunnit...although I was told by one of my first readers that she was angry...angry because she couldn't guess the 'who did it.'
That pleased me mightily. :)
Still, while the Any Agency is a private investigations firm, the story centers on Anna Bradford, my protagonist. As she writes her journal -- first person point of view -- you can experience with her the events unfolding upon her arrival in a small town in Illinois.
My first personal reader and friend, Reginald Birch, found the story fantastic...it has it all, he wrote, drama, passion, compassion, suspense, and so much more...I'll never forget his kindness and enthusiasm, encouragement and support. He confessed to not liking to read fiction, but mine he did.
Thank you, dear friend.
My first pro reader was a contest judge, Richard Helms. He thought the story was excellent and propelled it into the finals of the contest -- it had to be a detective story, and the detective had to be the working sort, with a salary and so forth...but I suppose my Anna wasn't a down to her heels kinda prototype sleuth. :)))
Anyway, it's a novel. I'll leave it at that.
If you decide to purchase and read it, I'd be much obliged if you left a review...any small thing helps...selling books isn't a piece of cake or even a crumb of bread.
Thank you! And may violets bloom for you.
