Charter Member and Publisher retires

 The Professional Journalists and Communicators of Oswego County, N.Y. honored charter member Vince Caravan on his retirement as publisher of  The Valley News. Caravan was among the group who founded the Oswego County Press Club (now known as the PJC) in October 1972 and has been a member of the club continuously since it’s early days. He began his career with the Valley News 50 years ago, and was publisher for 38 years until he submitted his last “Clearing Off the Editor’s Desk” column earlier this year.
