Lightening Strike

7/8/2006 3:56:00 AM

by Paul Williams

Lightening strikes twice...ya missed!

Thursday afternoon Armageddon came early. After some scorching tempetures of late, the inevitable thunderstorms were to follow. Thursday the most fighteningly violent of thunderstorms took place, I cannot begin to describe it's ferocity, suffice to say, Mother nature gave a magnificent display of her power and it's an event I'm hardly likely to forget...My house and I were struck by lightning Twice!! I survived, how or why? is a matter for conjecture, I have some very powerful guardian angels working overtime lol (basically it missed me by inches but boy did I feel the effects)thankfully I'm still here unscathed if somewhat frazzled lol. The first strike took out all the power and left me electirified, if I can call it that. Every hair on my body was as stiff as steel and my bones felt like they had pins and needles. The smell, I can best describe as being akin to that of a scalelectirx racing car set makes, only alot stronger. Approximately 3 to 4 minutes later a second strike sent a sprite dancing across my radiator where it grounded in an almighty bang at the back of my comp, which took out my router hence no network connection. Anyway much as I would like to go into more detail time and consequence are against me, so I'll save that for a later date. I hope to have normal service resumed sometime this coming week. When I will have some serious catching up to do. So for now I'll wish you all well and see you soon. I'm deffo doing the lottery now.

Paul aka Sparky lol.
