Award-winning fictionist, poet, journalist, and web master Nordette Adams will present a live hour-long online interview with author and poet Aberjhani on PowerTalk FM.com at 7 p.m. EST, Tuesday, June 14, 2005.
Adams, who is featured in the June online edition of Poetry Life and Times, and Aberjhani will discuss both the author’s offline and online publications, including his award-winning Encyclopedia of the Harlem Renaissance (with Sandra L. West), his inspirational volume The Wisdom of W. E. B. Du Bois, and his fiction and poetry collection, I Made My Boy Out of Poetry. They will also discuss the author’s novel in progress and such topics as the challenge of finding a publisher for one’s poetry even when one is a relatively well-known author.

Most recently, his Encyclopedia of the Harlem Renaissance was named the Best History Book 2005 at the Memphis Black Writers Conference and Southern Film Festival while earlier this year the encyclopedia garnered the distinguished CHOICE Academic Title of the Year 2004 Award.
In addition, Aberjhani recently joined the ranks of renowned authors Coleman Barks (famed for his translations of Rumi and an accomplished poet in his own right) Orson Scott Card, Harry Crews, Dr. Larry Dossey, Peter Straub, Maxine Swann, and Andrew Vachss as a featured subject in Keepers of the Spirit , an exhibit of work by the gifted photographer John Zeuli.
