Originally founded as a way to help counter some of the lingering pain of September 11, 2001 (9/11), Creative Thinkers International was established in September 2007 and this year is currently celebrating its first anniversary at this url: http://creativethinkersintl.ning.com .
Often referred to as “a higher quality website,” Creative Thinkers International (or CTI as members refer to it) has become a preferred destination of cyber space travelers from dozens of countries across the globe and its diverse membership reflects that fact. “It was my hope,” said U.S. author and poet Aberjhani, “that CTI would come to stand as both a symbol for and a function of positive creativity. A year later, this community of teachers, scientists, artists, authors, philosophers, ministers, poets, and everyday people from around the world has moved 200 members closer to achieving its goal.”
The community is observing its anniversary throughout the month of September but will host an official anniversary celebration from September 10-16, 2008. The event will include a rich assortment of featured musicians, shared blog topics throughout the week, and “funtests” (the CTI version of contests) based on information about CTI. It will also feature prize gift bags that include such CTI-styled gifts as autographed books, modern art reproductions, music downloads, psychic readings, and other unique offerings.
