Trinity Baptist Church Launches Major Fundraiser for a Cross Memorial and Debt Elimination
Trinity Baptist Church voted Sunday, July 5th to launch a major fund-raiser to erase a huge debt. Church leaders want to thank Franklinton and Washington Parish in advance for taking an interest in our Buy A Brick Campaign. The church invites the community to join our friends and neighbors in creating a permanent link to our future.
The bricks will be permanently installed and displayed as part of a walkway and cross that will be situated between the main office building and the sanctuary. Your message will be visible for years to come.
The church encourages community families and individuals to buy a brick to commemorate their company or organization, or to memorialize a special event in someone's life, or honor a friend or loved one. What better gift for the person who has everything than an investment in the future of Trinity Baptist Church? With the community’s help, the church can make the dream of having their $280,000.00 debt paid off and free them up for greater ministry.
Danny Von Kanel, church member and fundraiser coordinator says, “If we have 63 people sell 40 bricks over a 24 week period, we will make $290,000.00 profit with $!0,000.00 to spare to pay a brick mason to lay our cross memorial.”
The bricks will be sold in two sizes. Your donation of $100 will purchase a 4x8 brick with space for three lines, eighteen characters per line. Your donation of $200 will purchase an 8x8 brick with space for 6 lines, eighteen characters per line. The bricks will be placed in a cross display with the phrase “From the Cross to the Grave Our debt to Pay”.
Von Kanel adds, “The bricks can be bought two ways: by check or by credit/debit card. It will take two to three weeks for Bricks R Us to set up our website before you can pay with a credit or debit card. Brochures will be available in two weeks. Until then, bricks can be paid for with a check made out to Trinity Baptist Church.”
The church encourages the community to not miss this chance to establish a lasting memorial as they celebrate paying off our debt at Trinity Baptist Church one brick at a time. Bricks will be sold until January 1st, 2016 with a “Celebration” of paying off the debt on Easter Sunday, 2016. If you have any questions, please feel free to call at 985-590-9055. Again, the church thanks Washington Parish in advance for its support of this fundraiser.
