Danny Von Kanel, author and Minister of Music, and a native of Pascagoula, Ms., recently had published several of his articles in known magazine periodicals. In the June, 2007 issue of Focus on the Family, Von Kanel’s article, “When the Empty Nest Returns” was written under a pen name. Focus on the Family has a circulation of 2, 200,000 according to the 2006 Christian Writer’s Market. In addition, his article “10 Creative Ways To Support Your Pastor” appeared in the June, 2007 Issue of Mature Living, a senior adult magazine with a circulation of 318,000.

Von Kanel serves as full-time Minister of Music/Outreach at Memorial Baptist Church in Bogalusa. He served formerly at Liberty Baptist Church, Liberty, MS from 1998-2002 and First Baptist Church, Franklinton, LA from 2002-2005 . Danny Von Kanel is the youngest son of Lewis Von Kanel and the late Madge Von Kanel of Pascagoula. He is married to Beverly Gay Von Kanel, the daughter of W.R. & and late Nell Allen of Vancleave.
