| "Mama Mama" (Written by Jean Marzollo, illustrated by Laura Regan. Harper Collins $5.95), was selected for the 2001 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platimun Book Award. |
Katie Couric featured "Mama Mama" and it's companion book, "Papa Papa" in a segment of The Today Show on December 15, 2000. "Mama Mama" was selected as an excellent book for babies & toddlers because of its small gentle verses about how mothers care for their young accompanied by painterly portraits of mother and baby koalas, lions, leopards, chimps, elephants and otters. It was noted that "Papa Papa" was equally charming.
