| Kevin P. Grover and his newest release "Strike Swiftly" nominated for best of 2002! |
Kevin P. Grover, whose sophmore novel "Strike Swiftly" has been burning up the Amazon sales rankings, has been nominated for "Best Author of 2002" by the Preditors & Editors Reader's Poll, and "Strike Swiftly" is leading the pack for best fiction novel.
Each Year, P & E hosts a reader's poll to discover the best and brightest of the past year. Mr. Grover placed 9th last year, garnering a top-ten finalist position on the weight of his first novel "Strike Hard", which finished 31st for best novel of 2001.
This year is different though. With sales rankings shooting up and distributors not being able to get enough in stock to cover the orders, "Strike Swiftly" is at the top of the "Best Of..." list for this year, right along with its author.
"I feel that the recent news events surrounding Los Alamos have helped to spur sales," Mr. Grover is quoted as saying. "I'm just happy to see that my editor was also nominated. She did a wonderfuil job."
Mr. Grover's editor is Paula Mangino of Great Lakes Editing (http://greatlakesediting.tripod.com/home).
"Strike Swiftly" is a sequel and deals with Hans Reinhardt attempting to destroy Tony Wilson with a nuclear detonation. Much of the story revolves around the disappearance of two computer hard drives which were discovered missing in 2000, only to be discovered behind a copier after several tense-filled weeks and a lot of questions concerning America's nuclear security.
