Prison Walls Set Longtime Inmate Free
An account of an inmate’s incredible spiritual liberation
LONGWOOD, FL—Deep within the walls of one of the country’s toughest prison systems lived one tough cookie named Eddie. Dr. John Michael Domino’s Attica: A Survivor’s Story (paperback, 1-60034-378-3; hardcover, 1-60034-379-1) tells the story of this man’s incarceration at Attica State Penitentiary and the daunting length of time he spent there. The other prison systems he endured prior to Attica never prepared him for what he would experience in this one.
Eddie is a prime example of what miracles can happen to a prisoner when the Word of Christ is proclaimed inside and outside of prison walls. Domino hopes the experience of reading this book will inspire and bless all as Eddie reveals his incredible testimony and his survival at Attica. “The miracle is that ‘Eddie’ is now living a very productive life as a mighty warrior and advocate for Jesus Christ,” says Domino. “Although he spent a lot of time in prison, in his latter years he has spent more time serving God as a champion against violence, illegal drugs, and alcohol.”
Dr. John Michael Domino has served in the prison ministry for over five years. He was called by God to be a team member in this ministry when he first came to South Florida. A native of Brooklyn, New York, and an educator by trade, Domino has written and published a book for the Air Force Academy titled Strategies for Academic Success. He served in the Air Force for 24 years, and he and his wife, Liz, are now both retired majors. John is currently employed at Florida Gulf Coast University as an academic retention specialist.
