Happy New Year! Let’s kick it off with a couple of new bands paying homage to the glam metal of the eighties. First up is New York’s Nasty Habit. Their video “Saturday Night” is from their recently released EP.
The video opens with a scene of a man wearing high boots waiting for a ride. Cut to a pool table and then a naked girl grinding on top of a guy. This sequence could only happen on a Saturday night! After consulting with a group of video consultants we have come to the conclusion that this works very well. A crowd appears, a guitar solo is performed on a bar (later assisted with his tongue), and closes with a lot of neck thrust guitar playing. If you like jean jackets, Saturday nights, and groupies (and really, who doesn’t?) this video will grade well with you…
