This week we have new videos from two bands that take the best from the past and inject youth into their sound. First up are Black Tora and then its New York City underground favorites, Sex Slaves.
Texas rockers Black Tora have released their music video for "Never Enough", one of five songs soon to be released on the band's upcoming 'Raise Your Fists' EP.
The video starts with a split screen -- which is okay, but I’m more old-school and like my camera shots one at a time. (Yes, my therapist does fall asleep during our sessions.) The song, “Never Enough”, is a straight up sleazy rocker and I can tell why this song was released to promote their upcoming EP. The black and white vs. color for videos (this video moves back and fourth between the two) is a little like the DH vs. no-DH rule and again, usually comes back to how “old school” you are. For comedy sake, it would have been nice to slip Alice into the middle of the 9 square split screen, but it works nonetheless. The scream at 2:32 is pretty awesome and we are treated to a 25 square split screen to end the video. I’ll spare the readers another sad obscure Brady Bunch reference and allow everyone to just move on with their day and enjoy this great song...
