St. Thomas' own John DeDakis will present "From Journalist to Novelist (Or How I Learned to Start Making it Up)". John will discuss the spiritual journey that led him to a 40-year career in journalism (21 years at CNN) and how it prepared him to be a novelist. He'll take us behind the scenes where he works as an editor/writer on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer" and lead a discussion of the creative process. John is Senior Copy Editor at CNN in Washington, a former White House Correspondent, the author of the mystery-suspense novel "Fast Track," and he's the husband of St. Thomas' Director of Music Cynthia DeDakis.
