Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday, July 17, 2004 to help the "1st Annual C. A. Webb Day" be a real success. The weather cleared up and brought out the kids for fun, good food, dynamic entertainment by singers Tim Collins, Rashaunda Campbell, Martha Simpson Tiffany Williams and poetry by the Domestic Goddess. Robert Cason, a local artist, displayed his talent. David Stafford from Majic 100.9 FM covered us from 11-1p.m., Bruce Polite of Video Vision and Graphics and Marcus Moore of 16 WAPT also aided in making the event a day to remember. MS Organ Recovery and Building Bridges, Inc. were also present to share information about their organizations.
During the evening show, there were many surprises, however, the goal of the day was not forgotten: to raise awareness and support for local charities. And now the results: C. A. Webb, Inc. will be donating $400 to charity from the 1st Annual C. A. Webb Day!!!
$100 will be given to each of the following charities: Building Bridges, Stewpot, Rankin County Arts Alliance, and Southern AIDS Commission Food Pantry.
Thanks to Steak Out, we will be having a luncheon on Monday, July 19, 2004 to present the checks to each organization that benefited from this momentus event! It will take place at the Best Western Executive Inn, Downtown Jackson at 11a.m.
