It is with a great regret that I have to inform you, my readers, that Escaping Barcelona will be taken out of print within the next few weeks.
Indeed, the road I had undertaken with Chevalier Editions has come to an end. While Chevalier Editions (an upcoming, independent press with great editorial vision aimed at readers' enlightenment) was the perfect home for my trilogy life, as often happens, life got in the way.
Shortly before the release of Escaping Barcelona, the press' owner fell ill. Nevertheless, with the assumption being that his illness would be temporary, we went ahead as scheduled with printing, sending review copies, and the distribution as scheduled. Life situations have not improved, the press had to take a secondary place amidst other, more pressing matters.
Recently, it became clear that, due to health concerns, the owner will not be able to concentrate on the press full-time and thoughts regarding the future of the press are vague.
This revelation has led us to a crossroad regarding the future of The Mad Days of Me trilogy. After careful consideration, my publisher and I have decided to part ways on the best of terms. While this decision was not an easy one, it is the best one for the future of my work.
I would like to thank everyone at Chevalier Editions for all their support and dedication to my work over the past year. I would also like to thank all the reviewers who have read and reviewed Escaping Barcelona, as well as all the supporting readers who gave an upcoming author a chance.
Over the course of the next year, I will be working with a new editor on revisions to Escaping Barcelona. We will be creating a brand new edition with expanded text and storyline, as well as polishing the remaining two volumes in the trilogy. Once all this is done, I will start looking for a new home for my work.
Again, please allow me to express my gratitude to my publisher, to the reviewers, and especially to my devoted readers without whom an author would be nothing. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your world.
