If you enjoy a trip back in time to the nineteen twenties and thirties, you will enjoy Father Was A Caveman as it follows the adventures of Burrel Harman as his life takes him from his home in the mountains of West Virginia to the small city of Newark Ohio. There he meets  two women, one a sultry dark haired flapper and a blond, blue-eyed "old fashioned girl".  One becomes his wife and the other remains on the fringes of their lives as a behind the scene enemy.

This fact-based book takes you on a journey into the past through the eyes of Burrel Harman and his young family.  Taking place in Newark  Ohio, Seneca and Smokehole Caverns and Petersburg West Virginia, Father Was A Caveman is filled with stories of the family's adventures as Burrel fulfils his dream to be a spelunker.

You will experience the excitement the children feel as they play within the cavern's stone walls or wake to the enchantment of a carrousel that appears in their yard, or soar over the 1000 feet peaks of Seneca Rocks in an open cockpit of a barnsormer's airplane.

Then unknown forces behind the scene and a bushwhacker's bullet ends life as they  know it.  As the family struggles to deal with what they have lost a stranger appears and brings the magic back into their lives.
