Action/Thriller
June Harman Betts will be signing copies of her heart warming trilogy about an American Family and the colorful characters they encounter at The Bookworm in the Arcade in Downtown Newark, Ohio, May 7, 2011.

Father Was A Caveman, the first book in the trilogy, is a true slice of Americana as it introduces readers to this heartwarming  family.  Imagine what it was like to live in rural or small town America during the roariing twenties, or experience the great depression of the thirties, or actually hear President Franklin D. Roosevelt announce America's entry into World War II.  This fact based book takes you on a journey to those times through the eyes of Burrel Harman and his young family.

From the nation's capital to the Deep south, the Harman family's thrilling story continues in We Were Vagabonds, the second book in the series,  as they take to the road with life on the homefront during World War II.  As Burrel works on the large defense construction jobs, he vows to keep his family with him.  His creative solution to the housing shortage leads to some exciting, joyful, and even frightening experiences. This book is filled with humor and adventure as the family adjusts to their life on the road as vagabonds.

Along Came A Soldier, the final book in the series, begins at the end of World War II. The teen-aged daughter in the family had no inkling that she was the answer to a dying old man'a prayer when a young soldier came into her life.  Whether it was the prayer or the persistence of the soldier, that chance meeting and six boxes of popcorn rocketed her and the family into years of memorable moments and zany antics.,

June Harman Betts brings her characters to such vivid life that you either feel you know them or wish you did.
