The writers’ community Mild Revelations, moderated by author Leslie P. Garcia, will close at the end of October, due to community consolidation by iUniverse.
Mild Revelations presented technical and general-interest information to writers of all genres, and offered free downloads of Cooking by the Book and Musings: Authors Do It Write, currently under consideration for an EPPIE award.
Garcia invites members of Mild Revelation, as well as visitors, to join the community forming at RioRendezvous. Like Mild Revelations, Rio will feature columns of interest to writers, but will also have editorial on current events, education, and animal ownership.
RioRendezvous also offers a number of selected items for gift giving, use in the classroom, or personal use. Among the unique items are stickers, in English or Spanish, to use as classroom incentives, decorations for the upcoming Holiday season, and links to recommended and featured books.
Polls and message boards are currently available on-site, and additional features, such as a chat room, are in the works.
