MY BEST EBOOK READ FOR 2006!
MY TOP 10 BEST READ FOR 2006!
It's very easy to make these statements, but describing why I give this ebook those titles is something else. There's quite a lot going on in this ebook: adventure, intrigue, world changing discoveries, danger, sacrifice, love. It's fast-paced, extremely well-written, clearly believable with likeable characters, evolutionary ideas. It contains quite a few of my favourite reading criteria: mystery, archaeology, intelligence analysis, Indiana Jones/James Bond type missions, new ideas on old beliefs.
Professor Kathy Allison planned on hiking with her daughter and her daughter's friends, after taking a quick look at an alumni's new find. Being the Head of the Archaeology department, she felt she owed him a personal visit. She didn't expect it to be a discovery worth dying over.
Enter James Ellis. He's ex-marine, ex-sniper, ex-lawyer, and now member of DEVCON. DEVCON is the leader in working with the world's governments to maintain sites of historical value. At the same time, obtaining valuable worldwide contacts.
When James saves Kathy and her daughter's lives, it starts them on quest to unravel the world's best-kept secret.
That's one description of KNIGHTS OF THE FIRST ORDER. Would have been enough to get me reading. Now add this to the plot: What if we've been living with our genetic cousins, descendents from a different branch of evolution. Neanderthals. Homo erectus. We've discovered their secret and it's as mind-blowing as the Shroud of Turin.
KNIGHTS OF THE FIRST ORDER is a moving, thought-provoking intelligent read. It will change eBook naysayers' minds.
