It has been a while since I posted a news item, so this will be a chance to catch up. How are you? Well, I hope.
So, what has been happening in the world of Sue? Plenty.
Currently I'm having a run of success with my fiction and poetry. Of the eight new works written this year, one story , The Third Possibility (a heart wrenching tale of a woman trapped and yearning to escape) apears in the book Terror Scribes edited by Adam Lowe & Chris Kelso and is being considered for The Year's Best Horror. Two more stories, one serious, one comic, and a poem will soon be appearing in forthcoming issues of the recently resurrected Terror Tales (can you see a theme developing here). I have also given editor Rhys Hughes a hand with a crazy spoof e-book The Grin of the Doll Who Ate His Mother's Face in the Dark and Other Dreadful Tales by Lamblake Heinz. This last one is hoping to raise funds for an animal charity. All entries are written under the pen name of Heinz and have been 'found' on the computers of a number of authors. I 'found' three stories and a poem on mine, but you will have to crack a code to find out which. An expanded edition will be appearing on Amazon very shortly. For now you can buy it on Smashwords here for just $1.99
On another, more sensible tack entirely, last year saw the launch of my collaborative book Green Living, Sacred Life written with Tye Jamie Coxston. It's the biggest book I've ever written, hence the need for some help. The title is pretty self explanatory, we suggest ways to be earth friendly in a way that harmonizes with your own belief and faith. You just pick out what works for you and if you have no faith, that's fine too. There are hints, tips, recipes, stories, little bits of history. Basically, if you want to know, we've tried to include it.
Nearly forgot to mention my entertainment blog. I was invited to start it by the website Unreality Shout and it's where I vent about all things musical and literary. Look me up.
So, that's my news. What's yours?
