The Louisiana District Attorney Association has invited author of COP OUT and Legal Minds Robert L. Davis to speak at it's 28th annual conference. The Louisiana District Attorney's Association is an organization of District Attorneys across the state of Louisiana, as well as police chiefs and sheriffs. The conference will take place at L'Auberge Du Lac Resort, located in beautiful Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Mr. Davis is the author of COP OUT a riveting memoir about his life as a fugitive for 22 years, with much of his time on the run spent in various woods and forests in Canada and the United States, while living off the land! He is the author also of Legal Minds a book about the detection of bad police officers, how to report such officers, and other pertinent law issues. The author was just featured on Daystar, the international christian television network.
The author will join such speakers as the Honorable John Derosier, District Attorney of Lake Charles and Calcasieu Parish, the Honorable District Attorney Kevin Guidry, of Houma, La., Dr. Carol Martin, Department of Psycology, the Honorable Carlos Lazuras, Chief Prosecutor of the 32nd Judicial District, the Dr.Tari Dilkas, of the Institite of Neuropsychology, Lake Chrales, La., Ms. Jean Wall, Director of Louisiana Crime Services Division, and the Honorable Tony Mancuso, Sheriff of Calcasieu Parish.
The program is a four day event from July 20 - 24, 2008. Law enforcement personel from the neighboring state of Texas are expected to attend as well.
