Darksome Thirst in German
Sunday, April 15, 2007  8:29:00 PM

by Morven Westfield

Horror
Austrian publisher Otherworld Verlag to publish German-language version of Darksome Thirst.

Last autumn (2006) Harvest Shadows Publications announced that Otherworld Verlag obtained the German language rights for Darksome Thirst, the thrilling debut vampire/witchcraft novel by Morven Westfield.

Praising its authentic characters and the skillful integration of fascinating elements of witchcraft, Managing Director Michael Krug stated, "We are very pleased to win this impressive debut novel for our program." Before establishing his own publishing company with a partner, Krug translated authors such as Diana L. Paxson, Lynn Flewelling, Dave Duncan, Paul Kearney, and Chris Wooding for a large German publishing house.

The Otherworld site has posted an image of the cover art, created by UK artist Anne Stokes, and a link to the German Amazon site. It appears that the book will be available in May 2007.
