In April 2009 D.A. Chadwick was interviewed by presenter Rhod Sharp of BBC Live 5 about Jeannine Deckers, AKA, The Singing Nun.  Deckers hit the charts with her song, Dominique, in 1963 beating out the Troggs and the Beatles under the name, Soeur Sourire (Sister Smile). In 1985 Deckers committed suicide with her long time companion, Annie Pecher in their apartment in Wavre, Belgium.

The movie released in April 2009 by Belgian director, Stijn Coninx, Soeur Sourire, has renewed interest in the Singing Nun. The film stars the French actress, Cecile de France, who was instrumental in seeing the movie produced.  

Chadwick stated that the movie was more realistic than the 1966 movied with Debbie Reynolds, The Singing Nun, but was still based on a fictionalized novel by a Belgian writer.
