Cassandra Lokker, an author from Baldwin, Wisconsin, announces her new release The Promise.  The book is now available from Infinity Publishing and will soon be available through retailers Amazon.com, Barnes & Nobel, and Borders among others on the web.

Unlike Lokker’s first two books, The Promise is a modern-day fiction.  The novel is a coming-to-faith story, set in northern California.  The novel was inspired more than ten years ago while the author attended high school.  Characters and plot had already been set in place at that time, but Lokker turned to other projects in the following years.  It wasn’t until 2011 that releasing The Promise finally became a reality. 

The novel, although fictional, is a personal expression of Lokker’s faith and deep-rooted commitment to family and friends.  In The Promise, faith and friendship collide as a teenager struggles to find her place in small-town California.  Throughout the course of the novel, she discovers a priceless friendship and the eternal promise that comes with taking hold of the promise.
