Reaction to Celts and Kings so far

by Mel Hathorn

Thank you for sending me your thoughts on the Prologue and first three chapters of Celts and Kings to my email address. I believe I am on the right track. I have posted some of them below.
Hi Mel,

I read the prologue and three chapters. I want more. I'm hooked, wondering
what's going to happen next.

Are you going to tie the prologue information into the story somehow, ala Da Vinci Code perhaps? Celts & Brits, Heart & Head... Interesting theory.
Terry

Hi Mel,
Great story so far -- really gets the issues out there through the voices of compelling characters.

As an educator myself, the pressure on the protagonist to change a grade for the wealthy benefactor's son really got my blood boiling!

A few errors here and there -- nothing major. If you decide to hire an editor down the road, I'd like an opportunity to bid on it.

Is this the story you pitched at CAPA-U? What did the agent think of it? Best,
Beth

From Somewhere in the Inishowen,
Hello Mel,
From the very first sentence I was captivated. Yes, continue the tale, (or
will it be a mix of history and fiction)? Patrick

Hi Mel....this could become a best seller!.... jr

Great Job Mel. Norwood

Your novel offered a great
look at the politics in the ivory tower.

I enjoyed reading it and idenfied with your main charater
closely. I am looking forward to reading more.

Good luck with chapter 5. Take care and have fun. Anne Marie
