REQUIRED INGREDIENTS FOR writing A NOVEL
1) desire to writE
Without a basic desire, some might say a burning need, to write, chances of your ever completing a novel are slim. Knowing that if you do complete it, the chances of its ever seeing print are even slimmer, cannot be a deterrent. You must have a story that demands to be told, and have the will to tell it regardless of the personal sacrifices you’ll have to make along the way.
2) DRIVE & Determination
Writing is darned hard work. It’s also lonely. Only the highly motivated can develop the self-discipline to plunk self in chair, put fingers to keyboard and start filling up that blank screen with words.
