Poetry

A holiday celebration of poetry through Pat''s reading of her own and other Arkansas poets'' works, and an introduction of the CD for In the Playhouse of My Mind Volume I.

COLORS OF LIFE

Beginnings are sunrise red

rising fast with the heat

of hot hope

Middles are spring green

scattered in grassy fields;

sometimes forsythia yellow

with tears; but

Endings are always ocean blue

before we cross

to the other shore.

A crowd of poetry lovers gathered in the spirit of Christmas for this event. It was a pleasure to alternately read poetry and meet the folks and sign copies of our books and the debut CD of In the Playhouse of My Mind Volume I.

All of us left Words Bookstore that day in Hardy, AR feeling satisfied in mind, body, and spirit.
