A Surprise visit by William Heffner and his entourage, on Friday June 16th, was made when Bronson High School's class of 56 celebrated it's fifty year reunion at Sturgis Young Auditorium.
It was in 1956, the year they graduated, that Elvis made it on the national scene with such hits as Heartbreak Hotel. William Heffner in doing his tribute to Elvis sang that hit as well as many others from Elvis's early years.
William, more commonly know as Bill, is well known around the Quincy School System as the school liaison officer. When not doing that, or singing his "Love Me Tenders", he's working his full-time job as a corrections officer at the Lakeland Facility in Coldwater.
Assisting in his performance as part of the Memphis Mafia was Mark Gilger, David Heffner, and Jim Emory.
