Keeping The Faith!

 

Keep The Faith!

The above card was designed by my good friend (Retired Police Officer) Jimmy Lee Emory just after Drew Brees was traded to the New Orleans Saints from San Diego in 2006.
I sent Drew a copy via the New Orleans Saints team address and obviously with all the mail he receives I never heard from Drew and don't even know if he received it.
Well this week as the Saints have the opportunity to win the Super Bowl behind the FAITH and quarterbacking of Drew Brees, I thought it would be appropriate to share this with the Saints Fans.
If you will notice the photo, they didn't even have a photo of Drew in a Saints uniform in 2006 when Jimmy got a picture.
 
THE CHAMPION
 
I wanted to be a champion
To quench my winning thirst,
But I could never get beyond
Second place to first
 
Winning just eluded me
In every single quest
Though working hard and practicing
To try and be the best.
 
Then I went above it all,
To find out what succeeds
And there I found the winning edge
That every champion needs;
 
Faith to get the victory
And faith to know within,
Champions always keep the faith,
The faithful always win!
