January 3, 2005 NEW HORIZON CONTEST
at Holistic Junction
"Notable Mention"

Retirement, freedom, life anew,
nine to five style we bid adieu,
traveling companions we now are,
Denver, Memphis, add miles to our car.

New grandson's birthday same calendar week,
celebration party unique as Pikes Peak.
A Cowboy's victory highlights our Fall
at Texas Stadium-opponents protocal.

A hug, a kiss throughout our day
time together-we work. We play.
All these memories we pile and share,
but in November, a snag a snare.

Life at stand still, curve, new turn.
Kidney dialysis in future we learn.
Joyeous adventures, horizons must change,
Peritoneal, (CCPD) viscera range.

We'll meet this challenge holding God's hand
New Horizons, together, united, we stand.
